Mithril moves on 3000 metre copper dig
The Mithril Resources group is moving ahead on a 3000 metre copper drilling program in the Northern Territory, after completing precursory assessments.
Details are being finalised for the next stage of the project to test five potential targets for copper mining activities. The five targets named ‘Mini Me West’, ‘El Gordo’, ‘Ivana’, ‘Harry Creek’, ‘Red Rock Bore’, and the buried geophysical anomaly ‘Coles Hill North’ – were selected for drill testing after geological, geochemical and geophysical assessments over the last year.
Mini Me West, Ivana and Coles Hill North have never been drilled and only shallow penetration has been achieved on the other sites, leading the Mithril Resources group to hold strong hopes for the discovery of high-grade copper mineralisation when drilling begins in the first week of September.
It seems there is a fan of the late 90s comedy series ‘Austin Powers’ working at Mithril; with several of the nearby project sites named in reference to the films. It is unclear whether actor Mike Myers holds a stake in the company.
