Transport talks hit the road in Victoria
Authorities are holding workshops across Victoria to give out information on a number of key transport topics.
The Victorian Transport Association (VTA) together with the Victorian Enforcement Liaison Committee (VELC) and the Australian Road Transport Industrial Organisation (ARTIO) will hold sessions on road transport safety compliance in Wangaratta, Shepparton, Warrnambool, Geelong and Traralgon.
Topics such as the first Road Safety Remuneration Order, heavy vehicle enforcement, Chain of Responsibility legislation, truck rollovers and superannuation will be covered during the two-hour sessions.
The workshops will be held at:
- Wangaratta – afternoon tea, 3pm-5pm Tuesday May 6, Quality Hotel Wangaratta Gateway, 29-37 Ryley St
- Shepparton – breakfast, 7.30am- 9.30am Wednesday, May 7, Parklake Hotel, 481 Wyndham St
- Warrnambool – working lunch, 12.30pm-3pm Monday May 12, Hotel Warrnambool, 185 Koroit St
- Geelong – afternoon tea, 3pm-5pm Wednesday May 14, Geelong Yacht Club McAllister Room, 25 Eastern Beach Road
- Traralgon – working lunch, 12.30-3pm Friday May 23, Quality Inn, Latrobe Convention Centre, 5601 Princes Hwy.
