Manager - Operations North West, Resource Recovery

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to head up two of our sites in the Goulburn Valley region. Based at Echuca (3564) you will manage our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) there, as well as our waste transfer station at Shepparton. You will work with two site supervisors to manage all operations and around 34 other staff, with a focus on safety, efficiency and profitability. This is a perfect opportunity for someone with a strong operations management background in waste, logistics, transport or general facility/site management. There will be great scope for you to shine by identifying process improvements, reviewing contracts, controlling costs and improving operational efficiencies.

What you'll be responsible for

• Provide leadership, training and communication to the workforce regarding safe work practices and procedures
• Ensure the performance KPIs of the division in relation to both customer expectation and operational effectiveness
• Manage the P&L to maximise opportunities and control costs
• Manage customer relationships and contracts

What you'll need to be successful

• 3-5 years' experience in a similar level operational/site management role in a relevant or similar organisation
• P&L management responsibility
• Proven leadership skills - with experience managing operational staff.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
