APS5. APS6 & EL1 Procurement Officers

The Opportunity

Randstad has partnered with a federal government agency who are seeking multiple experienced procurement professionals at the EL1, APS 6 and APS5 levels to assist in ongoing procurement activities.

These are initially 12 month temporary contracts with potential to extend. Federal government experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

APS5 duties will consist of some or all of the following:

  •  Assist with procurement activities
  •  Process and prepare invoices
  •  Assist with preparation draft correspondence, procurement papers, discussion papers, minutes, briefs
  • Contribute to the management of a group mailbox
  •  Undertake procedural, clerical, administrative support for operational tasks
  •  Ensure effective administrative processes are undertaken in accordance with the department’s guidelines

APS6 duties will consist of some or all of the following:

  •  Lead, review and manage procurement activities in line with Commonwealth Procurement Framework
  •  Assist with managing procurement activities in accordance with PGPA Act 2013 using SAP
  •  Performing all procurement reporting activities
  •  Prepare correspondence, procurement papers, discussion papers, minutes, briefs, and input to external requests for information
  •  Organising and coordinating training and other events for external evaluators.
  •  Prepare draft correspondence, procurement papers, discussion papers, minutes, briefs, and input to external requests for information
  •  Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

EL1 duties will consist of some or all of the following:

  •  Preparation of Procurement related documentation including templates, schedule, correspondence, reports, submissions, plans and strategies, risk and performance reviews, contract change proposals and other contract management documentation in line with Commonwealth Procurement Framework
  •  Manage procurement activities in accordance with PGPA Act 2013 using SAP
  •  Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  •  Coordinate correspondence, procurement papers, discussion papers, minutes, briefs, and input to external requests for information

About you:

  • You will have demonstrated experience in end to end procurement and contract management across federal government environments.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Australian citizenship is required
