Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role:
Our multinational client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing complex electrical design projects for their mining clients. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage electrical design projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
• Develop and review detailed electrical engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for mining projects.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to identify project needs and develop innovative solutions.
• Conduct system analysis and modelling, design calculations, and computer simulations.
• Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, industry standards, and company quality assurance procedures while supervising installation of electrical, instrumentation and controls equipment.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and team members.

About You:

• Tertiary Qualification within Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience delivering project designs, ideally in minerals processing environment.
• Experience in design of single line, schematics, and termination diagrams for mining projects.
• Practical knowledge of control and instrumentation systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to successfully manage multiple design projects safely and according to schedule.
