We are looking for reliable, dependable, and flexible individual to join this team to support the maintenance to our road network. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, a willingness to follow instructions, a team player, proven experience that support the operations and maintenance relating to plant operations, labouring and other works including but not limited to Council’s roads, drainage and footpath assets.

The position will maintain a high level of service by operating and maintaining the plant equipment in a professional manner and to agreed standards. 

We are seeking candidates that take pride in their work, have a positive attitude, are punctual, reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. The candidate will bring the following to the role:

• Demonstrated experience in road construction, maintenance procedures, drainage works, other civil works & concrete works including labouring duties.
• Demonstrated experience through certification and/or training in the operation and maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Demonstrated literacy and numeracy skills to follow written communication and complete standard forms.
• Proven ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sound experience in the use of computers including Microsoft excel, Microsoft word and Outlook.
• Knowledge of and commitment to Work Health and Safety and Equal Employment Opportunity principles

• General Induction Certificate (White Card)

Current HR Licence

Remuneration: base salary commencing at $59,414 gross per annum

  + adverse working conditions of $1035. gross per annum 

  + 11.5% superannuation

  + performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary

  + annual award increase
